Every Vedic chart runs on a 120-year clock of planetary periods. Enter your birth details to see all nine mahadashas — and exactly which planet is steering your life right now.
Vimshottari (“one hundred and twenty”) is the most widely used timing system in Vedic astrology. The 120-year cycle is divided among nine planets — Ketu (7 years), Venus (20), Sun (6), Moon (10), Mars (7), Rahu (18), Jupiter (16), Saturn (19), and Mercury (17). Your starting point in the cycle is set by the nakshatra the Moon occupied at your birth, which is why an accurate birth time and place matter.
Each mahadasha (major period) colours the themes of life while it runs: a Venus period emphasises relationships, comfort, and creativity; a Saturn period emphasises discipline, structure, and consequence. Within every mahadasha run shorter antardashas (sub-periods) that refine the timing further — these are part of the full reading on pyastro.
A free pyastro account computes your complete chart; the full reading interprets your running mahadasha and antardasha against your actual placements.
